unplug meditation is a guided-meditation studio that offers 30 and 45-minute drop-in classes in a clean, modern, and calming atmosphere. Our inspirational guides will effortlessly move you in and out of your meditation. All you need to do is sit back and relax. Take a break from busy lives, hectic schedules and never-ending demands. Our mission is to demystify, deconstruct and make meditation easy and convenient for you to do. Classes are a total of either 30 or 45 minutes: 5 minutes to slowly settle into the room and 5-10 minutes to exit and ask questions, with either 20 or 30 minutes of guided meditation in between. All classes are led by teachers whose voices make you relax and whose personalities make you want to hang out with them. It’s that easy. Step 1 Pre-register on our app, online or just pop in. Step 2 Wear whatever you are wearing, just toss your shoes and cell phone in one of our cubbies. Cell phones will not be allowed inside the studio. Step 3 Enter the studio and grab a seat. Step 4 Listen to your guide, who will instruct you to close your eyes and lead you in a meditation. Step 5 With your guide’s instruction, gently emerge from your meditation. Step 6 Leave at your leisure. Step 7 Come visit us again. (And bring your friends!) Principles of Meditation Breath. Get grounded and experience your breath Focus on something (a mantra, a word, your breath, a body part, or a grape) Let go of the focus and experience nothingness Think. When a thought pops into your head, acknowledge it and let it go. Repeat from step 2.
