I love insightLA. I have taken some "enlightening" classes here from very gifted teachers. I love the Buddha's Path teachings - an in depth study from the Pali Canon or Abidhamma-- from ethics, concentration to vipassana and even teachings on emptiness with very experienced teachers. This community has given me an opportunity to deepen my awareness of and practice of a mediation practice that is grounded in ethics/sila. . This is a community that meets each person where they are- from the secular practitioner- to the more Buddhist... Theravada or Mahayana practitioner- InsightLA provides sangha to people from diverse walks- to learn about and practice the dhamma. I am so glad that I have found this community. Thank you. You have truly stepped up your game with the offerings via online support. What a valuable resource during these times. Appreciate that you are here!

Being a part of InsightLA has given me a sense of community in this vast city of L.A. Having a Sangha to practice with, great teachers to learn from, and a place to meet like-minded friends is an invaluable asset. InsightLA is an amazing community of meditators from all over town. After many years of struggling to find spiritual community, I finally found it here. I particularly love attending the POC affinity groups! They have one on Friday nights in Santa Monica, and one on Sunday nights in East Hollywood.

I first joined insightla two years ago. I've felt a strong sense of community and grow deeper in my mediation practice. Especially, since the start of the pandemic, I've feel gratitude for the community and the online offerings.

Insight LA provides the warm and loving community one badly needs in a big city in our modern world. I feel at home and at ease when I am there. No pretenses. No shoes. Good tea. And plenty of time to sit and just be, and remember that life needn't be difficult -- it can be simple and beautiful and sweet in its simplicity.

InsightLA has made such a huge difference in my life. I have been taking classes with InsightLA for over 5 years and it's helped me so much at work, family, and just daily life! I’ve been attending classes, retreats and sits with InsightLA for more than five years now. It’s a heartful community of dedicated practitioners lead by exceptional teachers. The entire organization is centered around the highest of ethical standards, which inform how everything is done. Classes are designed for new and experienced practitioners, those who seek a completely secular practice as well as those looking to delve into Buddhist principles. I’m just now completing the ILA 10-month Facilitator Training, and it has been one of the most meaningful experiences and pursuits in my life thus far. I’m incredibly grateful to InsightLA.
