My Philosophy
No matter how challenging life may be, I believe it is possible to move forward, to heal from a painful past, to navigate transitions, and to find healing and healthy relationships. I am here to support you in this process in a warm, empathic, respectful and collaborative way. I draw on my background in counseling psychology, music, meditation, and somatics as I work with clients from all walks of life.
I utilize an Object Relations approach with a Client-Centered perspective. Somatic Techniques and Dr. Richard Miller’s iRest protocol (similar to Dr. Peter Levine’s ‘Somatic Experiencing’) may be utilized for some clients. I have a background in yoga, meditation and non-dual Vedanta philosophy which affirms the unity and the sacredness of all beings.
Yoga is an ancient practice that fosters wellness on all levels, enhancing strength, flexibility, and peace of mind. It is like Meditation in Motion, bringing healing and well-being through gentle slow movement, breathing exercises and deep relaxation. No experience is necessary. Students of all levels and range of motion are welcome!
Meditation Groups begin with welcoming everyone to the group, choosing and reading positive thought cards from Louise Hay, the Dalai Lama, and the Law of Attraction deck of cards. We continue by singing together (or listening if you prefer) in preparation for 40 minutes of guided meditation.
