I have been doing yoga for more than 4 years but I had never practiced the Iyengar method. I was lucky enough to learn about Stela's Iyengar Study through a friend and I was fascinated by the rigor and precision of the method. In addition, Stela is an excellent teacher, very clear in her instructions, always seeking the well-being and alignment of the body of all her students.
For someone with scoliosis like me, the use of material supports such as blocks, tapes, blankets, cushions, and chairs allowed me to improve my flexibility, strength, and most importantly, my posture. These supports helped me avoid straining my body and poor positions. On top of staying alert and aware of the part of the body that is involved in each posture. Super complete classes.
