ABOUT US

From the moment you walk in the front door of Yoga By The Sea, a surge of calming presence washes over you, then there is the Exhale. Take off your shoes, and follow the steps past beautiful artwork, and sacred statues. A teacher or practitioner will be close by to greet you, help you sign in, show you around and guide you to either the Moon Studio or the Sun Studio, for your class or private session.

 The Moon studio is our larger studio space, and is home to our movement classes, like African Dance, Groove, Nia, Tai Chi and Yoga Dance, as well as workshops and special events. We also offer a Body-mind Therapy room, which is used by Certified Counselors. In our Bodywork room, we offer Reiki, Holistic Massage, Thai Massage, Warm Stone Massage, and Yoga Therapy.

Our original studio, the Sun Studio, named for the warmth and the light of the Sunshine that blesses this room throughout the year, is home to many of our specialty Yoga Classes. We offer a variety of Kids Classes, Yoga for Backcare, PreNatal Yoga, Pilates as well as a variety of Hatha Yoga classes.

Both of our studios are fully stocked with yoga mats, bolsters, blocks and blankets, if you travel light. You are also welcome to bring your own.

All of us here at YBTS welcome beginners, as well as experienced practitioners. We offer classes that meet Every Body where they are on their journey of a healthier lifestyle. The class size average is between 5-10 people, which allows for personalized attention from the instructor. We have a diverse and varied schedule, that will fit into your daily life. We are very approachable — if you have any questions, or feedback, please call or email us and we will respond in a timely manner.

We also opened a small store, called Yoga Sadhana, which was created to deepen and support your home practice of consciousness, health and wellness. The store offers a lovely selection of yoga mats, bolsters, meditation cushions, meditation shawls, blankets, eye pillows, books, music, DVDs and more.

We will continue to offer special events and workshops throughout the year. We are grateful to share and welcome the community into this awakened, expanded space, in the Heart of Roberts Creek. Please view our full schedule for further details.

Need a space for your workshop, event, meeting or speaking engagement? Yoga by the Sea is available for rent. You can rent either studio for one hour or many hours.

 Cancellation policy: written notification 7 days prior to the event is required to receive full refund. Less than 7 days notice results in 50% refund.
