KMCV-FRONTThe Centre was established in 1997 (as Tilopa Buddhist Centre) at the request of people living in Vancouver. In 2012, Tilopa Centre became a Kadampa Temple and was renamed Kadampa Meditation Centre Vancouver (KMC Vancouver). Situated in the heart of Vancouver, in the Trout Lake Community, KMC Vancouver is ideally located and accessible from anywhere in the city.
KMC Vancouver offers an extensive program of meditation classes, study programs, special events and retreats. We also offer weekly drop-in meditation classes around Metro Vancouver, in many locations. All of our classes, events and programs are designed to teach you how to relax your mind, dissolve pain and fear, and become of greater benefit to others. The methods and practices taught are suitable for all individuals, whatever your level of interest
KMC Vancouver is a registered charity, run by volunteers. All proceeds from our classes and special events go to the spiritual activities at the Centre and to the International Temples Project for World Peace.
