Bodhi Surf + Yoga

I stayed at Bodhi in April 2022 for my birthday. It was an unforgettable experience. We had Anki for yoga, Spencer for surf, and Adrianne running the show. Anki was wonderfully mindfulness in offering a practice that met the skill level of the group and progressed complimentary to our surf schedule. Spencer was great, especially with the on-land lessons. The figure 4 pop up is a game changer for me! Adrianne held it down with a full (+) group while making it all look easy and having a sense of humor. BIG props to Fanny and George for the food! Those were some of the best vegetarian/vegan meals I’ve ever had! I’m glad that mid-way through we had some flexibility in timing and surf location depending on where it was calmest. We were there during Semana Santa (Holy Week) and storm swells. Only constructive things to note is that it would have been nice to meet Travis and Pilar who were away that week, it would have also been nice to mix it up and have surf first thing in the morning and then sunset yoga (I’m a surf before breakfast kinda guy 🤙🏽). It’s also worth noting the property is about a 20 min walk to the beach and and main restaurant area in case you are traveling with kids. Other than that, I love everything Bodhi stands for, especially sustainability and community. I would highly recommend a visit and hope to be back again someday soon!

This place walks the walk in terms of sustainability and commitment to community and nature. I did the 5 day surf/yoga retreat, and it was amazing to spend so much time with the founders of the company. I felt like I really got to know the place and the people around. They are clearly well respected by their neighbors, too. The surf and yoga instruction were brilliant, and I feel like I'm leaving with a new tool belt from which to pull. I can see why people come back!!
