Surf With Amigas

The surfing was incredible, as was the instruction. I learned so much with such a supportive and fun group of women. It really catered to all levels of ability. There were also many fun additional activities and adventures, like yoga, massage, making chocolate, hiking, horseback riding, and even a boat ride to a surf break.

I am a retreat junkie. I love traveling this way and Surf with Amigas did not disappoint! The communication was excellent, everything was taken care of from transportation from the airport, meals, accommodations, surfboards to borrow. Just. Great. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Thank you SWA! Will certainly look into other retreats with you in the future.

This is my second amigas trip and I am once again so happy I came. What I loved most about the bocas trip was the team that michelle and gabby made. They were so fun to be with and make everything laid back and chill. We surfed every day and what I want most on a solo trip is to not to worry about where to go the logistics etc and this was the case once again. The hotel casa Aquaria was above and beyond my expectations and I can not wait to go back again. I never would have traveled to Bocas on my own so I am also thankful this trip was available. Our group was small which was great and while you never know how the dynamics will be in a group ours meshed very well and I think we all had fun. Love these ladies so much and so happy for the experience once again.

I travelled alone a couple weeks ago to the Longboard House Retreat in South Costa Rica and the trip absolutely exceeded my expectations. The instructors were so kind and helpful and by the end of the week I was shredding!! Every day there was a new activity, and the food was incredible and healthy. I was the youngest girl there but never felt left out or excluded- everyone was so welcoming. I can't wait for my next SWA retreat!

I just attended my first retreat at the Southern Costa Rica location with Surf With Amigas and all I can say is WOW! I don't even know where to begin. The instructors Jackie, Coco, and Shelly were kind, knowledgeable, cool, and as one amiga put it "They pushed me to push myself." The eco-lodge location we stayed at was stunning and had all the amenities you need for a week of surfing and adventure. The yoga pavilion was beautiful and the yoga classes were paced for beginners/tailored to help with recovery from an active week. I'm not a yoga person but Coco made me actually like it! The food was fresh and amazing every single meal and we all especially liked the homemade hot sauce. The surf theory classes and video review helped all of us immensely and it was so cool getting to see ourselves improve each day. In addition to getting to surf every day, we rode horses to a waterfall, got to help release baby sea turtles back into the ocean, took a boat trip to the Osa Peninsula to surf and hang at a great hotel, went on a great nature hike with a local guide, and even got to go on a full moon surf! The SWA team was constantly making us laugh and encouraging and supporting us as we surfed. I love that SWA donates to the local turtle conservancy as well. This retreat was planned so perfectly that none of us wanted to leave. I will definitely be back again in the future and can't recommend Surf With Amigas enough!
