The French Hatha Yoga Federation is dedicated to the study and practice of yoga, continuing vocational training (initial and advanced) yoga teachers, organizing conferences, courses, yoga courses and the dissemination of works or magazines relatedThe French Federation of Hatha Yoga (FFHY) is dedicated to the study and practice of yoga, the initial and continuing training of yoga teachers, organizing conferences, courses, yoga courses and dissemination of works or related journals.

The French Federation of Hatha Yoga brings together over 600 professors and more than 11,000 members. It is represented in France in 14 regional branches and is bound by agreement to the Francophone League of Hatha Yoga in Belgium.

The FFHY is:

• The study, practice and teaching of Hatha Yoga
• Training yoga teachers
• The guarantee of an authentic education
• Vocational and technical support for its teachers
• The organization of conferences, courses, workshops ...
• The dissemination of knowledge on traditional yoga
• The FFHY forbids any discussion or political or religious event, as well as teaching Hatha Yoga for therapeutic purposes.

Governance FFHY

The FFHY is led by a board of 7 members elected by the General Assembly. It is currently chaired by Brigitte Neveux.An instance of consultation and proposals, the Antennas Committee, met the directors of regional offices.The good agreement of activities FFHY and his teachers with his missions is ensured by an Ethics and Tradition Committee.

What is Yoga?

Hatha Yoga taught at FFHY is part of the first steps of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali . It is practiced under the traditional approach, that is to say, relying on experienced technical and codified in for centuries. Yoga teachers that affiliates FFHY to offer, can be practiced by all, young children, adolescents, adults, seniors; it may be suitable for pregnant women, people with disabilities ... He is relieved of all vis-à-dependence of religions and forbids therapeutic practice.
