Casa Prana Luxury Retreat Villa

This was definitely one of the best places we have ever stayed anywhere in the world! From our greeting off the dock the staff was attentive but unobtrusive. There are only eight suites and very private and quiet. Fabulous grounds and accommodations- beautiful views from everywhere. At night there must have been 200 candles lit all over the place! Can’t say enough good about this place and we have stayed in some very nice places all over the world!

Casa Prana is one of the most elegant hotels where I have ever stayed. Lake Atitlan is surrounded by volcanoes and the views are superb. There are only 8 suites and for two nights we were the only guests here. It was like having our own mansion with excellent and discreet staff. Landscaping is magnificent with fountains, walls, organic farm, 204 different plants. The main building is like living in the Isabella Stewart Gardiner Museum. There is a yoga studio with views of the volcanoes and lake. A pool, sauna, gardens, gym are all first class. Meals are excellent and can be served at patio outside our room, under the pergola, in the main house dining room or in a secret garden room with fountain. Worth every penny

Casa prana- to say it is beautiful and unforgettable is an understatement. set In a beautiful rustic state of the art mansion, it gave us a gorgeous historical feel and a beautiful isolated romantic feel at the same time. It is incredible, Fully equipped with all sorts of entertainment including a volleyball court, ping-pong, health and wellness studio, sauna, a big TV to watch Netflix and kick back, and lots of gorgeous places to dine and enjoy the view. The servers are professional & incredibly helpful. We ate almost everything off the menu and it was absolutely delicious, especially their famous avocado detox smoothie. I don’t think that I can critique anything as everything exceeded our expectations. Our room was marvellous and fit for royalty. And it’s location was perfect , situated near so many beautiful Mayan villages overlooking lake atitlan’s glorious volcanoes. I cannot wait to go again. ou know you've experienced something unique when you're truly sad at departure. I never wanted to leave, and would like to go straight back if I could. I've stayed in many hotels but never sensed a genuineness like here..As a guest you feel like you've been invited into something close and personal.. that YOU are their very special guest and friend. I felt like a princess in a fairy tale that I never wanted to end;) The people here really go out of their way to meet your needs, and are all so sweet, polite and again:genuine! The food was so fresh, healthy and delicately presented it's really a 10/10!! Ate food at other restaurants around the lake, but next time I come I won't bother going elsewhere. The whole place feels and appears unreal, magical and stunning.. This is definetely nothing like anything you have experienced before..The beauty and aesthetics of the buildings, interiors and gardens is truly one of a kind..you'll discover endless of georgeous spots to enjoy in the beautiful gardens with breathtaking views overlooking the volcanos.. This place is as magical and special as it gets. Put it on your bucket list. It's stunning!!! This is not just a wonderful hotel, it's paradise on Earth...The moment you get to the Hotel you just don't want to ever leave. I spent 3 days here but really felt like 1 month. It's not just an hotel, it's a spiritual retreat with gardens and a pool to make you forget the three beautiful Volcanos. Really!!! It's only a few hours away from USA. Once you get to the Airport, a car will pick you up and bring you to Lake Atitlan. Then the hotel will arrange for a boat to get you to Casa Prana as it's only accessible from the Lake. It's that easy. Once you get to the hotel, you will feel right away the incredible energy of the land. The owners discovered this part of the lake 15 years ago and built initially a holiday retreat for themselves. There was absolutely nothing before. So every element, every stone had to be brought by boat. Which seems like a monumental task. I can not imagine the amount of work, passion, sacrifices and dedication it took them to create this beautiful place in this part of the world. And once you get here, you can see how much love they put into it. They decided a few years ago to open the doors to the public. With only 8 rooms it feels very special and intimate. The crew is incredibly caring and thoughtful and the food is absolutely delicious and super healthy. Most of the food comes from their own vegetable garden. I met the owners who have an incredible sense of hospitality and clearly do their best to make their guests enjoy their stay as much as possible. You will spend your time deciding where you could have breakfast or lunch as the crew will set up the table wherever you want on the property. The Gardens are to die for. Every single corner has been designed by the owner and up to 8 gardeners take care of the land constantly. I was blown away by the amount of beauty in this place. I felt grateful I was allowed to stay here and will definitely come back for a longer stay. So if you are looking for a place to rest, recharge your batteries and feel spiritually nourished, this is the place to go. I should also mention that the hotel can arrange any activities you want to do. That said once I got here I just forgot about everything else and allowed myself to let go and enjoy "being".
