Located at Daulatpur on Karva Dam Road, about 20 Kilometres from city of Bhopal, Dhamma Pala is one of the many Centres around the world dedicated to practice of Vipassana meditation taught by Shri SN Goenka in tradition of Sayagji U Ba Khin. Dhamma Pala - meaning, Protector of Dhamma - is situated at about 46 Kilometres from the Great Stupa of Sanchi in Raisen District of Madhya Pradesh, which is the oldest stone structure in India and was originally commissioned by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC. Setup in 5 acres of land the Centre is ensconced in beautiful, quiet surroundings, covered by lushed evergreen forest.
