Palm Trees Yoga School is just across the river from the resort. Throughout the season, the school offers 300-hr Yoga Teacher Trainings in Goa in Rocket Yoga and Vinyasa Flow. The school also hosts the yoga classes for our yoga retreat and Ayurvedic retreat guests. We offer daily drop in classes for nearby holiday guests. Private classes can be arranged with any of our teachers upon request. Palm Trees Yoga School Location in Goa Sitting amongst the palms on the backwaters of Goa, the yoga school remains in the shade throughout the day. The natural surroundings provide the backdrop for practice, allowing our guests to feel fully immersed in nature. Hear the sound of the birds and local wildlife, the rustling of the palms, the distant sound of the ocean. The location is the perfect place to induce meditation and peacefulness. The space is just a short walk from nearby Patnem beach, a place to reap the benefits after yoga. Our Yoga Teachers Our yoga teachers have come from a variety of backgrounds with their own expertise and styles of yoga. The resident yoga teacher ad retreat host, Julia Gavin, has been teaching Yoga Teacher Trainings and hosting retreats for almost 8 years. She is a Yoga Alliance registered E-RYT, her profile and yoga school profile are listed on the Yoga Alliance website and you can see her BIO on her website www.juliagavinyoga.com. Styles of yoga at the school include Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Ashtanga Yoga, Rocket Yoga and Yin Yoga with Pranayama and Meditation classes scheduled daily. All classes are listed on our Yoga Retreat page. The Yoga Shala The yoga shala is made from natural organic materials that have been locally sourced. Built with palm wood, the roof is handwoven in palm leaves and natural coils. It is a traditional, eco-friendly, Keralan style structure. Yoga mats and equipment are also made from natural fibres. We have created an eco-friendly yoga space for guests to enjoy. Built in 2019, the yoga school is the latest addition to Palm Trees Ayurvedic Heritage, here in South Goa. Our Ayurvedic spa in Goa provides all the treatments you will need to rebalance, relax and restore. The treatment centre in Goa is part of Palm Trees Ayurvedic Heritage and is located amongst the shade of the riverside palm trees on the backwaters of Goa. Our spa provides the perfect place for peacefulness and tranquillity. It is an idyllic spot to reconnect with your true self. Surrounded by lush nature and in close proximity to Goan beaches, our beautiful surroundings exude serenity, making a perfect location for an Ayurvedic retreat. We are in the perfect place to have that restful holiday, allowing you to find balance through Ayurvedic treatments and yoga. We are open to our guests and yoga students. Nearby holiday makers are welcome to drop by for an appointment or can book with us through our contact page. Situated at the heart of the resort, we have 2 treatment rooms. We have an onsite team of Kerala-trained professional Ayurveda practitioners and a nearby Ayurvedic doctor. Ayurveda is not just about curing sickness, disease and ailments. It is about finding balance, improving health and thriving in everything that you do. This is our field of expertise. All guests and yoga students are welcome to enjoy some indulgent and luxurious Ayurvedic treatments. We encourage an initial consultation where our team can work with you to deliver the perfect personalised treatment plan for your holiday needs. Whether you are staying with us for Yoga Teacher Training or you simply with us to enjoy a Goan beach holiday, our team is ready to indulge you in one of our treatments. For those of you looking for more specific program of treatments we are pleased to arrange an offsite consultation with a qualified Ayurvedic doctor during your stay with us. The best way to truly experience the miraculous healing benefits of Ayurveda is to fully immerse yourself in it. We offer 1, 2 and 3 week Ayurvedic retreats. Retreats are residential with accommodation in our Keralan style, eco-cottages. Breakfast and lunch are included along with daily Ayurvedic treatments, an Ayurvedic consultation with our doctor and optional yoga classes. In addition, we currently offer a yoga retreat. This retreat is perfect if you are interested in experiencing yoga along with a few Ayurvedic treatments to pamper yourself. As part of this retreat, you have access to daily yoga classes. The package includes accommodation, breakfast and yoga. Our Ayurvedic Spa is open every year after the refreshing rain in late October through to the warmer month of May. For your convenience, we are open seven days a week between 8 am and 7 pm to both our guests and the general public. Our aim is that you leave with more vitality and energy than you arrived with, rested and restored.
With the Goan beach vibes of Patnem just a 5-minute walk from the resort and Palolem Hotels just a short drive away, Palm Trees Ayurvedic Heritage offers you premium accommodation not far from the beach. Sitting in the shade of the palm trees, our eco-friendly, Keralan style rooms have everything you need to enjoy that perfect beach holiday, Ayurvedic retreat or yoga TTC in Goa. With cottages sitting along the river, we provide an authentic backwater experience not far from the beach and nightlife of Patnem and Palolem Hotels.
Our cottages are built in a traditional Keralan eco-friendly style, made from coconut wood, mud blocks and palm leaves. Building materials have been locally sourced with the aim of cottages blending into the local landscape. Roofs are hand-woven from natural material and able to well withstand the occasional mid-season shower. The cottages are designed to remain cool throughout the season, even during the hotter months of April and May. The design of them encourages natural ventilation, keeping the fresh air from outside circulating 24 hours a day. All room are equipped with electric fans for the more humid times of the year and blankets are provided for the few weeks in January when mornings and evenings can be a little fresh. Decor is in keeping with Keralan tradition.
We have 10 cottages for guests to enjoy, sleeping up to 26 people. We offer private, deluxe and family/twin cottages and so can cater for solo travellers, couples and families. All cottages have a private European-style fitted and tiled bathroom with high quality bathroom linen and free toiletries. Our 4-post, king size beds are with fitted mosquito nets and cotton linen for your comfort. Mattresses have been selected carefully and are of a high standard, promoting a restful and pleasant night’s sleep. Each room has a wardrobe with hanging space and a small locker for your valuables.

The Tree House is new for next season and is our budget accommodation for 2 people. This is a semi private room for guests who do not mind sharing with another guest. The room has 2 single beds, a private bathroom and an amazing balcony that overlooks the river. It is a really cool spot. Photos to come!
Relaxation is crucial and so you will find your own seating area or private terrace with sofa and coffee table. Here you can enjoy your morning chai or sunset tipple. There is an abundance of hammocks scattered throughout, you will find one under the palms nearby your cottage. Whether you are reading a book or studying from yoga texts, there is a sleepy place just for you.
Breakfast is included in the cost of the retreat/course and optional if you are with us as a holiday guest. All meals are served in our onsite riverside restaurant. Our restaurant is fully licensed and is open to all for breakfast, coffee, lunch and dinner.
All guests are welcome to visit our Ayurvedic spa for massage and Ayurvedic treatments. Palm Trees Yoga School offers daily yoga classes, the schedule runs from dawn until dusk. Classes are included in our retreat packages and optional for our holiday guests at a cost of 800 INR per class.
