At Sharmila Yoga Zone, we offer you an opportunity of breathing life into your practice – whether are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner. We do this by providing the right environment, the best instructions and exposure to different authentic yoga traditions and practices. We are inspired by the teaching and practices of the Bihar, Iyengar and Asthanga School of Yoga, and includes Hatha flow and Ashtanya. Sharmila Hirendernath is the founder of Sharmila Yoga Zone and has been an avid practitioner of yoga for the last 20 years. With a formal training background of 200 hours RYT Yoga Works, 500 hours of ERYT with Yoga Asana, Sharmila has personally visited and trained from Bihar School of Yoga Bangalore, Iyengar Institute Pune and Pattabhi Jois Mysore. She has also attended numerous workshops with Kino MacGregor, Tim Fieldman, Sasha and Chekna (Yogamala); well known yoga teachers all who practise Mysore style Ashtanga Vynyasa. Sharmila has been teaching since the year 2000 and has acquired vast experience in teaching with science and structure merging with the ancient art of yoga. She has also specialized in pre-natal yoga, Yin yoga and restorative yoga. Her USP is her two-decade experience, which has enabled her to create eclectic sequences for practitioners of every level. In the past decade, she has moved towards conducting 200-hour yoga intensive teacher training programmes and has successfully completed more than 30 sessions. Her 200-hour RYT teachers are all over Hyderabad and the globe. Over the years, she has created a diverse library of more than 5000 books on yoga, which is open to her students to help them develop a deeper understanding of the practice. She endeavors to continue and evolve her personal practice with the changing times.
