The Dhamma Kalyana is situated on the bank of famous river The GANGA near Aima Village Dhori Ghat Kanpur, the Largest City of Uttar Pradesh. One of the most peaceful area dedicated to the practice of Vipassana Meditation as taught by Vipassana Charya S.N. Goenka. The simple 8 bighas centre with its flower trees and well kept gardens can accommodate 100 students in single room occupancy with attached bathrooms. Dhamma Kalyana attached many foreigners from all over the World, who want to put the Buddha's teaching into practice so registering in advance is recommended. Residential courses are held here through out the year. Ten days courses generally start on 5th and 20th of every month.

The centre is located about 23 km. from the Kanpur Central railway station along south east direction and is reached via G.T. Road.
Pre-paid 3-wheeler taxi transport is available from Railway station to the centre for about Rs. 200. Please tell the driver to go to Hanuman Temple, Dhori Ghat (near Village Ema) at Ganga river-bank. The centre is 3-4 km. beyond Village Ema, and located right next to the Hanuman Temple.
Alternatively, you may take a shared 3-wheeler up to Rama Devi crossing (about 8 km. from station) for about Rs. 15, and then take a 3-wheeler taxi to the centre, which will cost abour Rs. 100.
