Namaste - I learnt the art from Nivedita Joshiji way back in 2009. I have continued my practice - thanks to all the instructions and detailed inputs received from her. Even after 10 years, her voice / instructions continue to play in the background while I am doing my Asanas . I shall stay indebted to her for life for being VERY strict and for igniting the drive in me and many to stay fit. I am past 50 and have stayed fit - thanks to the her and Yogakshema for coming to my life.

The yoga centre has changed my life, and my son's life, for the better. He had suffered a slipped disc, and I was suffering from back and Knee ailments, at the time we joined. It is only because of the teaching and training at this yoga centre that we are able to lead normal, healthy and productive lives. The place is extremely clean and well maintained, each worker at the centre is dedicated to his/her responsibilities. Training is rigorous, with emphasis on discipline, correct postures and regularity in practice. Ms Nivedita Joshi is a strict task master, but an extremely accomplished proponent of yoga and a committed teacher. We are extremely grateful to her and the other people at the centre.

Iyengar yoga has changed my life. Mrs Nivedita Joshi's dedication to Guruji and Iyengar yoga is evident in her mastery over the subject of Iyengar yoga. Under Ma'am's precise teaching, I have been able to manage a severe back problem and go back to a normal routine. Ma'am has an amazing ability to look at a person's body and guide them towards regaining their health and mobility. Her disciplined approach and attention to detail are the strengths of this program. She is extremely engaged with her students and concerned about their progress, always pushing them to achieve their potential. She empowers you to tackle your problems and take your health unto your own hands. The yoga centre -Yogakshema - is a wold class facility. Neat and clean with all the yoga equipment one could need. A serene and green refuge in the middle of bustling Delhi - coming here you feel overcome by a sense of calm. Doing Iyengar yoga not only helps you physically but also helps centre and calm the mind and strengthens you mentally.

It's been 5 months since I was introduced to Iyengar yoga taught by Nivedita ma'am at Iyengar Yoga Yogakshema, New Delhi. I joined her Medical classes for multiple medical concerns, they've been remarkably helpful. My conditions hadn't responded very well at all to various other treatment forms I tried over the past few years. I am grateful to Nivedita ma'am for her tireless and sincere most efforts as a teacher, and entire team of Yogakshema for supporting me through this journey of healing and recovery.

I joined Yogakshema 5 months ago via their medical classes to help improve my walk. It is with their guidance and care that I have been able to improve my general well-being. Yoga for a beginner with physical ailments can be daunting. It is with ma’am’s expert knowledge and care that over the last five months I have been able to build strength and manage my day to day life . I have been searching for an online yoga class as a mother of two small children during pandemic. I have tried a few and didn’t like it because of lack of engagement. When I came across an instagram post as I followed everything Iyengar yoga on Instagram, I said why not follow an Indian authentic teacher. The first class impression was it was too much details but now I am a true believer of her classes. One time she commented that I should not play with my toes during a certain pose, and I was impressed how perceptive she was. I loved the praying and bowing part and surrendering to the teachings. I am sure if you leave the ego out the door and follow her teachings you will find a new life journey with improved body and mind, and maybe enlightenment some day. I have been on the journey for about 8 months now. Even though I have not been practicing so regularly at hime, I missed total of only a few classes because I cherish the lessons and the feeling of a lighter body and mind afterwards. Biggest achievement so far is I have been making attempts to regularly practice in the morning and my slouch has been better with her chest opening exercises specially offered during Covid.

I came to Yogakshema, Iyengar Yoga Center in Delhi in search of an authentic and holistic solution for my heart disease. From the very first step into the center one can feel a sense of positivity and tranquility. The attention to detail is reflected in the hygiene of the surroundings and the layout and management of the classes. The support staff, administrative and trainers, is extremely helpful and patient with all requests. Mrs. Nivedita Joshi teaches yoga with exacting precision, accuracy and discipline. It is thanks to this focused and systematic approach that I was able to see promising results very quickly. In addition to an improvement in my medical condition I also find an improvement in my strength and alignment thanks to the classes. I thank Mrs. Nivedita Joshi from the bottom of my heart for guiding me through this journey. I am looking forward to more such opportunities in future.

I'm on my way to recovery from spinal issues and general upkeep thanks to Iyenger yoga and Nivedita ma'am. Learning from ma'am combined with the medical classes has reinvigorated me and my lifestyle. Thank you so much!

I have been a student of Iyengar yogakshema for the past more than 8 years and it wouldn't be an exaggeration if I said that my life now revolves around yoga and why wouldn't it? I live my life knowing that whatever problems of the body and mind may exist, I can overcome those on my own through yoga and that is all thanks to the subject and the precision with which Mrs. Nivedita Joshi teaches it. The term Guru means one who dispells darkness and Mrs. Joshi is an embodiment of this. Her knowledge of not just yoga, but of the scriptures, of the human body and mind, is par excellence. She can analyse the root cause of physical ailments with precision and even predict future illnesses with a fair degree of certainty. It is owing to this quality and the fact that she can never see someone walking to their doom and look the other way, that she is a wonderful teacher, protective and caring. But to be able to imbibe any knowledge, one needs to have faith and be able to surrender, one needs to drop one's ego and open up to the positive energy that ma'am brings! Iyengar yogakshema is an abode of knowledge and teaches a new way of living and of seeing things, to all those who are ready to remove their self created blindfolds, open their minds and walk towards the light to which our Guru is pointing.

I've been a student here since over ten years and it has been a life changing journey. Highly scientific and precise, this is the best school for learning Iyengar yoga from a teacher who keeps all the principles intact and insists on motivating you to give your best. My back issue of scoliosis is completely cured and I continue to enjoy learning and practicing with Nivedita ma'am. Each class is new, with so much detail and depth. The yoga centre is serene and calming and the premises is beautiful. Highly recommended to anyone and everyone!
