Sivananda Uttarkashi Kutir

This place is a slice of heaven on earth. 110% come here for your TTC. The ashram is run so smoothly and everything is made just right for you to go deep into your yoga practice. The TTC takes an integral approach so you learn about all paths of yoga: karma, raja, Bhakti and Jnana yoga. You come away feeling enlightened and empowered to teach and ultimately be a better person all round. Satsangs by the Ganges are just magical and lectures from Swami Janardhanananda, a disciple of Swami Vishnudevananda, are priceless. The food is beautifully cooked with lots of variety and speciality dishes, particularly South Indian dishes where the chef is originally from. I just wish I could cook so well myself! Sivananda kutir is situated on the bank of river Ganga. It's surrounded by nice trees and you can't miss the Serenity you experience. It's an amazing experience to meditate on the river bank. There is a nice little bridge near Sivananda kutir which takes us on the other side of the river.
