The western ghat mountains come alive in the late afternoon light as the mountain road that we are on climbs higher.

The ridge lines are streaked with gold, the valleys cloaked in a tapestry of rising clouds, tendrils of mist and a patchwork of blue and green.

The resort's multi-cuisine restaurant, set beside the central pathway, offers a delicious array of Pan-Indian dishes in its buffets. Guests may also order a la carte from the menu.

An outdoor deck overlooking a forested valley is special, simply perfect for languid lunches, candlelight dinners and high tea at sunset. Further down the path, beside the restaurant, is a clearing with a splendid view of the mountains where campfires are lit and a barbecue staged on request, magical on misty evenings.
