Spent an afternoon observing trees and leaves in the rain, including a small yellow flower when the flower fell way… (for someone almost incapable of doing nothing that was really something) . Everywhere I looked, there was proof of consistency in philosophy, buildings, plants, gardens, food. Thank you for giving me the environment to experience doing nothing,”

You can really see that a lot of thought, time, and love went into everything here on this property. The best food I’ve had on Bali! It can be difficult to travel as a vegetarian, however, I don’t have that problem here. I wish I had a larger stomach so I could eat more. Great to have an open Bungalow, we loved all the sounds at night, as if you’re sleeping in a forest. I wish I could spend more time here; the food is off the charts and I love the tea corner. “

One of the best opportunities I had to unplug myself from the outside and to have a better look in the inside world. The art of doing nothing. Where days start before the sun rises and consist of meditation, yoga and no screens. From garden to table chefs, indulging in the best organic goodness, all locally sourced sustainable living food. This place was the dream. Days spent in silence, in the jungle getting lost in books. Still vibrating from the love and lessons that came from the Bali Silent Retreat that I wanted to share with you some musings… 1. As humans we tend to complicate things but less is more. Focus on the things that bring light to your soul, excite you and eliminate everything else. 2. Relationships are everything. 3. To stop judgement on yourself and others. When we feel good about ourselves, emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually we don’t feel the need to judge others. 4. Surrender to uncertainty and lean into discomfort. For parents with teenagers who just r just stuck to their mobile all the time, this will be a good place to make them detached from devices n make them do more reading, drawing or walking around the place or simply appreciate the fundamentals. Brings family members closer too coz without talking, u will need to pay full attention to one another trying to communicate via body languages. Totally relaxation time for me especially!

If you are looking for quiet space to relax, with options of joining the meditation and yoga program or just doing nothing, this is perfect. well stocked library of books related to mindfulness, health, spiritual topics and fiction too. simple accomodation that makes me appreciate the conveniences of modern living, and realise what modern living has cost our earth. not luxurious, but sincerity is shown through the smiles of the people and quality of the food. however, wish the cost could be lower though. I understand the benefits of getting us to go without aircon and even without electric fan, doing our own washing after meals and cleaning our own rooms. but shouldn't the cost of our stay be reduced then? the price for single room and bungalow (it's only simple amenities anyway) is too much for what we can get in Bali. don't forget you are already charging separate fees for the daily program and food.

I spent beautiful and magical days at the retreat. My amazing experience started when Baby Ketut (driver) came to pick me up from the airport to take to the retreat. He was driving very safely and he helped to get emotionally ready for the experience through sharing information about the place and the Balinese culture. He answered to my thousands of questions and was very nice! Thank you Ketut! The food in the retreat was from another world! I had the feeling that it was prepared with so much love and dedication that really made me feel special. I enjoyed quite a lot the yoga and meditation classes. It helped me to identify parts of my body and energy that I need to pay attention to. I love this whole experience, to be in silent, to have the chance to focus on myself, my feelings, my thought and to write again as I use to do! I will definitely come back!

The room are perfect, clean, amazing view (I had a upper room) with the relaxing sound of the jungle. The Fresh tea leaves station and fresh food from there plantation are simply AMAZING!

The retreat is a rip off, even for european standards it's quite expensive and the staff for the program is not fully qualified (volunteers hold class) They try there best, but a resident teacher with experience is adequate to the price or at least it should be mentioned on the website that staff is a volunteer. Also the meditation practice was definitely not in their repertoire as they just guided partly and sometimes only read the instructions out loud straight from the book. The interior of the accommodation is tasteful, but in the dorms no doors to toilets and the toilets are very sensible and sometimes don't work so you have to find out how to fix them yourself. It would be good to protect more against moskitos, the provided repellent didn't work at all and all sites are open. Especially in the morning meditation this is very dangerous I think. Food was very tasty but sometimes not suitable for buffet (fried stuff just taste better fresh) The staff disappeared after preparing buffet, it would be good if you could give them notice when you need to. The transport is the biggest ripoff ever, although I have to say that it was very helpful and friendly. The office staff was friendly but couldn't really help when I had a problem. I personally think if you leave in silence there should be also some possibility to talk with someone to support you. It can be tough and a crying bench is not always the only solution. I don't know where the money from the guest goes, apparently it's a nonprofit retreat, I definitely know that it's not going to the quality of the program and I know that it's way to expensive given the rural location in Bali. And asking for a donation for charging the devices (that you can't use anyway here) is just ridiculous. Comments
