The teaching in Centro Zen Anshin preserves the character of the traditional japanese Soto Zen and is a place where one can learn to practice zazen inside but also outside the zendo with the guidance and loving presence of two amazing teachers, Annamaria Gyoetsu Epifanìa and Guglielmo Doryu Cappelli. It is definitely worth joining one of its monthly retreats!

I had the pleasure of entering this Buddhist temple for a study project. The two monks who look after the structure were courteous, kind and helpful. They allowed me to discover a different world inside Rome and remain fascinated by what Buddhism is. I believe that for a person who has faith in Buddhism (of the Soto type) this can be a unique center. Furthermore, the center has extremely interesting affiliated activities: dance courses and a holiday home.

The Anshin Zen Center is a place of peace and harmony where you can practice meditation and Tai-chi with two splendid Zen masters. The space of the temple, harmoniously organized and full of evocative images, leads us to serenity. In the center there is also an extraordinary Bed and Breakfast located in a splendid Zen garden. The food offered by the Masters is varied and natural. Spending nights in this place is truly magical!!!

An enchanting place immersed in the chaos of Rome, an oasis in the city, the Anshin Zen center represents a place to rest the mind (but also the body, taking advantage of the beautiful Zen garden). Excellently connected (it is located 100 meters not even from the Trastevere station) it represents a point of reference for anyone who feels the need and desire to find peace and serenity

A Zen center full of peace, welcoming, silent, it almost doesn't seem like being in the heart of Rome. The two masters, Doryu and Gyoetsu, fill guests and visitors with wisdom and serenity. Behind the meditation rooms an unexpected Zen garden opens up, which is not visible from the neighboring streets and hides them (in this case the photos are worth more than a simple description).

It really feels like you're in a warm embrace. The opportunities for practice are numerous, of different types, but always filled with the kindness, availability and enormous competence of the two Masters. Those who are not looking for a spiritual journey, but only for healthy relaxation, could discover in this enchanted place that with a lot of Love, everything gets better.

The same atmosphere, of peace and welcome, is found in the B&B service, offered by the Masters, in the splendid Zen garden located in the green space of the Centre. It is truly an oasis of peace that I recommend to everyone!!!

In the center of our chaotic city there is a door. If you ring the bell, a large, welcoming, bright street opens up, larger than the apartment that contains it may appear. As great as Gyoetsu-san's smile and Doryu-san's friendliness, as great as their welcome, benevolence, commitment and competence. As great as the serenity and harmony that pervades all those who live and frequent this Anshin Zen Center. As soon as you cross the entrance threshold, the forms and their meanings disappear and everything transforms into vital energy that envelops the universe of all creatures, in which you feel immersed as one.

In Anshin I found confirmation of what my path was and I started following it. A group of people, a Sangha, who welcomes you with kindness and maximum serenity. The two masters, Gyoetsu and Doryu, exquisite, serious and humble people, immediately made me feel at home, the home I had wanted to be welcomed into for a long time. Their teachings were very precious to me and gave me "peace of heart" again! My gratitude for them is great and sincere!

I immediately received a wonderful welcome from the entire community of practitioners and this immediately made me feel part of it. Practicing in the heart of a city like Rome is not easy, but in this Temple everything seems to wait outside without disturbing the morning and evening Zazen. Finally, it is here that I found my roots, in harmony, hospitality and the study of rituality.

The house of the heart, where you can find silence, but also communicate, with the wise and sensitive guidance of two exceptional masters, Doryu and Gyoetsu. A place to learn and grow in a deeper dimension, to walk together and, for those who wish, to find their own path towards Zen Buddhist spirituality.

I came across the Anshin Center because my experience with Tai-Chi began here. A place full of harmony and beauty. Extremely high professionalism combined with passion, great ability to transmit the teaching of practice, in all its aspects. Always a pleasure to go there. It's good for you, it enriches you, it brings energy, an experience recommended to everyone!

I have known and frequented the Anshin Zen Center and the Masters Annamaria Gyoetsu Epifanìa and Guglielmo Doryu Cappelli for many years now. It is a magical place, where the meeting between Art and Meditation gives space to great Energy. It is located in the Trastevere district of Rome, a few meters from the train station. Very easy to reach!
