Dina Karim is a highly experienced and qualified Junior Intermediate Level 3 Iyengar yoga teacher who has been teaching for 19 years and practicing for 22. She was fortunate to learn directly from Mr Iyengar and his family on many occasions and continues to study with the most highly respected senior Iyengar yoga teachers regularly here in the UK and worldwide.
Whilst alignment, detail, appropriate props use and tailoring the practice to suit the student’s individual requirements is a consistent feature in Dina’s teaching, her real passion lies in imparting a true understanding of this ancient and timeless system of personal development and learning how through the use of our inner resources we can free ourselves from physical, emotional and mental disturbances with the aim to live in harmony with ourselves and the environment and reach liberation.

Individually tailored yoga classes and private one-to-one yoga sessionsThe classes are tailored to suit the needs and the level of the students present. The poses are taught systematically according to students ability with emphasis on safety. As there are many poses and ways of practicing the theme of each class may vary weekly and rotate monthly. Please come to 4 consecutive classes to get the full experience and approach of this class.
In this workshop you will be taught how to perfect selected postures which will enable you to refine and deepen your understanding not only of your current level but all successive levels.Alignment, detail, appropriate prop useage and tailoring the practice to suit the student’s individual requirements is a key feature of this workshop and in all of Dina’s classes. Careful attention is paid as to how we position our bodies to not only save us from injury but enable each individual part as well as the physiological system to function to their best.
This workshop is suitable for students who have been practicing the Iyengar method for at least six months and for the more experienced students wishing to deepen their understanding of their current practice and wanting to develop a more mindful, detailed and intelligent approach.

Dina will lead you through a series of postures to help you develop a thorough understanding of the poses and an enjoyable and progressive practice.
After your morning yoga session, we will continue our guided tour series on The Story of Personal Transformation through Art where Nikke Ariff will guide you through the galleries on an enlightening half hour tour of the V&A’s diverse collection accompanied by your choice of freshly brewed hot drink.
