My name is Åsa Malmberg and I am the founder and owner of Yoga Therapy STHLM and also the design company Sign-Design STHLM. I have a long past in the service industry and worked for 30 years for the airline SAS as a flight steward and spent a large part of my life traveling, visiting many countries and coming into contact with many different cultures and people. When I realized that traveling in my profession had a negative impact on my health and that after a long period of stress and high workload I entered a state of stress-related burnout, I decided to continue my education in health, wellness and exercise. In the summer of 2015, I trained at Safe Education and read for PT before switching tracks. I chose instead to focus on a more calm and holistic training and lifestyle and studied basic medicine in order to attend a 2-year training at the MediYoga Institute in Stockholm. It led to a degree as a MediYoga therapist and teacher and, in addition, I have chosen to specialize in MediYoga for Migraine and Tension Headaches, module Depression, module Adrenal Stress and also Mindfulness according to MIMY at the same institute. I am also a trained Yinyoga teacher at Atmajyoti Yoga in Stockholm. I have since trained as a Lymphatic Masseur with also stage 2 in cupping and lymphatic taping as well as a Hot Stone masseur at the Axelsons Institute in Stockholm through Bebe Gransten and Inga-Lill Björling. I am a certified massage therapist in Tactile Massage according to the Taktipro method for Siv Ardby and have also taken a course in Raindrop Massage and essential oils. These massage techniques have a lot in common, above all the breathing and calmness that runs like a red thread through my treatments. Breathing is A and O for all health! Because I work with yoga as therapy and believe that yoga should be accessible to everyone, I have also had the privilege of being an ambassador for Accessible Yoga/Yoga for All and through various workshops I have learned how yoga can be adapted to the individual, regardless of body, gender or age.
