And all this happens in an atmosphere of tropical luxury – comfortable accommodation, gourmet dining, wellness and mindfulness programs, and undisturbed natural beauty – fused with Koh Yao’s pristine jungle environment and its wonderfully warm people.

The Hideout features just 4 stunning open-air ‘treehouse suites’ on an undeveloped jungle hillside, designed from inception with complete ‘immersion’ in mind. The villas and resort proper were crafted entirely by local artisans with materials from the island, with a vision to connect guests with the raw beauty and peace of the surroundings. What you won’t find here are TVs, radios, buzzing fans, or noisy machinery of any kind — The Hideout is proudly electricity-free, aside from the solar-filtered infinity pool at the heart of the resort.
When you open the entrance gate to your private treehouse, you’ll first be greeted by a tasteful open-air bathroom level nestled in the treetops, complete with cool-water tub and rain-shower, vanity sinks and WC, and a host of complimentary organic and handmade toiletries. Then you’ll climb the stairs to the main room, which holds an eco-tourist’s paradise: a majestic thatched roof, rich wooden floors and furnishings, plush king-sized bed with mosquito net, and an unparalleled open-air panorama view of Koh Yao’s jungle, bay, and nearby islands.
At The Hideout, we stand by the belief that the symphony of jungle wildlife, the song of wind in the trees and the whispers of waves against our island shores are the best medicine for your senses!
We offer a powerful blend of healing, empowering, and enzyme-rich foods.
We manage portion sizes to limit food waste, but encourage guests are to request more as cravings permit!
Our menu is incredibly versatile, while using the same ingredients (even the peel or seeds of some) across various dishes and taste experiences to maximize ingredient utility.
And although kitchen leftovers are inevitable in the restaurant business we are committed to using our excess in crafting homemade jams, syrups for our lemonades and healthy tonics, artisanal cream cheese and yoghurts, just to name a few!
