When we were searching for a name for our first Koh Chang venture “Shambhala beach bar” we wanted something that has an association to paradise, which we believed the location to reflect.
Searching for paradise, we came across Shambhala; a mythical, inaccessible paradise in buddhist culture which in western cultures is better known as Shangrila.
As per ancient Tibetan scriptures, the mythical Shambhala is synonymous with an earthly paradise of secluded beauty and an enduringly happy place, isolated from the rest of the world.
