Osho Leela is a personal development centre with a strong community focus. The core community live full-time at Osho Leela running workshops, meditation events, festivals and offering space for outside events. We also run residential programmes: our Community Experience Programme, our Team Leader Programme, and our 7 Day Total Life Change Intensive.
Our passion is for helping you grow and develop, learn how to get your needs met and to become the most amazing human being you can possibly be. We are a unique group of people, united by a desire to live communally and linked by the search for spiritual growth and raising personal awareness.
Because we maintain an open door policy in our community, the size of our group is ever-changing. However, we do have a fixed group of around 15 adults and two children. The way to find out more about us and our community is via the Community Experience Programme.
Our long term members have a wide variety of backgrounds. They include three business people, a teacher, a social worker, a graphic designer, a recording engineer, a nurse, a healer, a librarian, and a deep sea diver, among others.
Most of us have taken part in the Humaniversity Therapist Training Programme and we all value straight-forward communication, respect for each other, ourselves and the planet. We are committed to joyous living and the promotion of beauty in everything.
Who is Osho?
Formerly known as the Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, Osho was ann spiritual mystic who lived from 1931 to 1990. During his lifetime he inspired the development of many “Osho communities†all around the world. His main community still remains in Pune,.
One of Osho’s main achievements, in spiritual cultural terms, was to bring together therapy and meditation into a synthesized whole. He developed a series of “active meditations†with therapeutic content, with the intention of helping Westerners to experience meditation. He believed that the average Western mind was too busy to experience meditation without undertaking some level of therapeutic catharsis first.
Osho Leela was created in 1996 by a group of Osho devotees in the UK. The community recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. We are proud to continue developing the work that Osho commenced and bringing it into the modern world.
We have comfortable sleeping accommodation for up to 70 people in the main house, either in dormitories or a few private rooms. We also offer a number of private rooms in the mobile homes and pine cabins on our grounds. Dormitory accommodation is included in event prices unless otherwise stated. Private rooms can be booked at an additional cost and subject to availability.
