CORE offers integrated wellness services in the heart of Buckhead: private and small group Classical Pilates, Redcord and GYROTONIC® exercise sessions as well as comprehensive Physical Care: massage and One on One Physical Therapy. We also provide comprehensive teacher training programs and continuing education for movement teachers. What is Pilates? Designed around the classical Greek ideal of equally developing mind, body, and spirit, Pilates incorporates elements from both eastern and western approaches to fitness training, including boxing, gymnastics, and the martial arts. Pilates is based on seven guiding principles: breathing, centering, control, concentration, precision, alignment, and flowing movement. These principles guide every exercise to ensure an effective, efficient, and potentially life-changing mind-body experience.A longtime component of physical therapy, Pilates can be an effective way to address back pain and to bridge the recovery gap between PT and exercise. Atlanta’s physical therapy community frequently and confidently refers clients to CORE. Pilates provides an invigorating core workout and can improve flexibility and strength for everyone- from the rehabilitative client to the fitness enthusiast. Most of our instructors have been teaching movement for more than five years and hold certificates in more than one of our disciplines. Growth is a core value for both our clients and our teaching community. We host continuing education workshops throughout the year and constantly refine our skills with other wellness practitioners to best serve your needs.
