Why BASES?
For practitioners of Pilates, BASI offers a comprehensive program of teacher training and continuous insights and additions (Advanced Education) that goes from the study of specific aspects, at Masters level international workshops and symposia. BASI Pilates also provides credits of the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) for participants in these courses.
Today the network BASI Pilates stretches to over 30 countries and includes thousands of trained teachers in over 100 locations around the world. Our teachers (Faculty) and our rioconosciuti studies (Host) are unsurpassed as teachers and mentors, all our staff is dedicated to the support of our students.
Joseph Pilates certified only two teachers during his lifetime, Stanford-Kathy Grant and Lolita San Miguel. Today, spurred by the unprecedented growth of Pilates for the past two decades, tens of thousands of Pilates practitioners are teaching the method around the world. Many of them are true professionals, but there are many others with dubious or nonexistent credentials that have taken advantage of the unregulated nature of the discipline.
Pilates enthusiasts should be able to trust the legality and the caliber of their instructors. Similarly, those who aspire to practice professionally method must have the guarantee that the educational program they choose will provide them with a path of success and lasting. Perhaps no training program for Pilates teachers is greater than that offered by BASES Pilates®.
METHOD
At the heart of the Pilates method is the BASI Block System®, an original method to classify and combine hundreds of Pilates exercise repertoire. The BASES Block System provides a progressive structuring of the lessons within a flexible framework, creating sessions that are balanced, challenging, covering all planes of motion and muscle groups.
