Mid American Fitness in Farmington Hills, MI is a group fitness gym and dance studio that offers progressive group fitness classes, Pilates reformer, and Personal training geared toward clients of all fitness levels and abilities. In addition, customized Nutrition counseling is available to aid in weight loss or to address special dietary concerns.
Clients can choose from more than 40 group fitness and exercise classes per week, including Fit Barre, Zumba, Spin Classes, Yoga, Cardio, BodyPump™, High Intensity Interval Training, Sculpt & Tone and Core Strength Training, and our newest class offerings Insanity® and Tabata Bootcamp.
Our group fitness gym studio opened in May 2002 under the direction of owner Karen Blazaitis. Her goal was to offer a comfortable and welcoming fitness club where clients from all around Metro Detroit including Novi, Northville, Livonia, Southfield & West Bloomfield can achieve their fitness goals and better overall health through a variety of exercise classes, personal trainers, weight loss programs and fitness workshops.
Pilates Reformer Level 1 Classes
Ideal for beginning to intermediate levels, clients learn the basic exercises that develop strength and stability in your core and back, shoulder stabilization, and joint flexibility which provides the foundation to progress to level 2 exercises and jumpboard classes.
Pilates Reformer Level 2 Classes
For intermediate to advanced levels, classes are instructed at a faster pace to challenge your core muscles in a whole new way. With over 500 exercises to choose from, you will never get bored with reformer training!
Pilates Jumpboard Cardio Classes
Jumpboard provides an intense core workout and adds the benefits of a cardio class too. With instructor approval, add Jumpboard Cardio classes to your reformer training to burn calories which leads to burning the fat off the top of your muscles!

Our exercise instructors are carefully selected to provide the highest quality fitness training possible tailored to our clients’ needs. Our instructors are certified by nationally-accredited organizations, such as ACE, AFAA, NASM, Stott Pilates, RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher), and the fitness staff is both CPR and AED certified. For all students. Hatha Yoga fitness improves muscle tone, strength and stamina. With regular practice, you will increase flexibility, reduce stress and tension, and improve balance. Hatha Yoga is for all bodies, those new to practice, after illness, and pre or post surgery (with physician approval). Hatha Yoga is also ideal for those wanting to come back to a more active lifestyle.
