What is Classical Pilates?
7Classical Pilates refers to the most authentic and original form the Pilates method of body conditioning as taught to us by Joseph Pilates himself. Although Joseph Pilates is no longer alive, his work still lives through a wonderful lineage of instructors who have preserved and upheld his teaching. Joe created a system of exercise (yes we will sweat!) with over 500 exercises including equipment and the mat work. The Pilates system will uniformly develop our bodies to keep us feeling and looking young. Want to play tennis or golf, run marathons, cycle 200 miles, or simply work 40 hour weeks with out pain and injury? Then Pilates is the answer. The 6 principles classical Pilates teaches us are Centering, Control, Concentration, Precision, Breathe, and Flow.

Juliet Lauren is proud to hold a Romana’s Pilates Certification since 2008 (Romana Kryzanowska was the premier student of Joe and his wife Clara Pilates for many years and took over running the studio after their passing). Juliet’s certification includes over 600 hours of observation and instruction on all Pilates equipment and the mat, plus regular Continuing Education every year with her mentors Brie Neff, Trish Garland, Mari Winsor, Jay Grimes, Chris Robinson, Cynthia Lochard, and Sari Mejia-Santo. Since her Vegas arrival she has taught at The Pilates Body Las Vegas and continues as Pilates staff at Cirque du Soleil instructing the performers in Zumanity. Juliet infuses her education and 10,000+ experience hours to provide her clients the best results and highest value. Before becoming certified Juliet attained her BFA in Dance Education from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, her hometown. She has traveled the world through her professional career as a dancer working on cruise ships, with the NFL, and here in Vegas as a famous Jubilee showgirl. *See separate price sheet for Juliets rates.
