This course is being offered as an introduction to the teachings of Vajrayana, or Buddhist Tantra. However, these are not introductory topics. We live in a time when the sacredness, brilliance and energetic quality of our experience is easily lost in the blur of a fast-paced, polarized and confused world. The teachings of Vajrayana demand that we relate to our inherent wakefulness in both bold and subtle ways and challenge us to relate to the magic of phenomena with dignity and compassion. Please join us on this journey into the experience of non-existence. Venerable Chogyam Trungpa, Rinpoche is widely regarded as one of the greatest Buddhist masters of the 20th Century and was particularly instrumental in the spread of Tibetan Buddhism to the West. He presented this material in 1974 at Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado. Roger Guest became a student of Trungpa Rinpoche that year and has now been a teacher in the Buddhist and Shambhala traditions for over 35 years. Mr. Guest has been involved in teaching Tuesday Night classes in Manchester on various Buddhist and Shambhalian topics for many years.
