Gentle Yoga with Susan Holmstrom
If you are one who prefers to learn and practice yoga in a small class environment with gentle guidance, this is the place for you. Stretch, breathe and meditate to help reduce stress, enhance overall health and calm the mind as we find that quite place within. Gentle Yoga is for all ages and special classes can be made available to accommodate unique physical challenges.
Susan Holmstrom (S. Samkalpahananda) has been teaching yoga, yoga philosophy and meditation to groups large and small for over 20 years. The focus has always been classic, simple and gentle. Susan began her teaching career at the Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago where she earned certification and was later ordained by Goswami Kriyananda. .
Upon relocating to Tampa, she began teaching out of her home and expanded to other venues. She contributed classes for 15 years at the Baywinds Learning Center and taught yoga and yoga philosophy for seven years through the Fine Arts Dance Dept at the University of South Florida.
Classes are held on Thursday evenings at the Carrollwood Recreation Center. Private and group sessions are also available at your location or somewhere prevalent. (call for special pricing) HATHA YOGA is a combination of slow physical movements, meditation and gentle, deep breathing exercises that help to reduce muscle tension, calm the nervous system and thereby produce an overall feeling of well being.
