Most common muscular pains, i.e. that kink in your neck or tightness in your back, are caused by muscles locked in a spasm. Through expert touch, massage therapy re-educates your muscles and joints and guides them back to optimal levels of flexibility and performance.
For athletes, massage is a key component for optimal performance. While training hard is essential, massage increases recovery time, stamina and strength by providing your muscles with increased circulation to rebuild faster. Massage also helps athletes avoid injuries from overuse and heal from the ones they have more rapidly.
REIKI
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation. Reiki is a subtle healing energy performed by the touch of the hands. Research data shows Reiki treatments can be effective for relaxation, pain management, reduced anxiety and depression, and enhanced well-being.
It is administered by “the laying of hands†and is very different from massage. Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy†flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy†is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Some people experience great stress relief and emotional well-being after a Reiki session.
