Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation. Reiki is a subtle healing energy performed by the touch of the hands. Research data shows Reiki treatments can be effective for relaxation, pain management, reduced anxiety and depression, and enhanced well-being.

It is administered by “the laying of hands” and is very different from massage. Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Some people experience great stress relief and emotional well-being after a Reiki session.
