Anahata is a community resource rich with tools to increase self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-healing. We offer yoga and ayurveda classes and workshops, meditation, and energy healing sessions. We believe in the power of these practices to heal, transform, and empower lives. We serve our community in an atmosphere of compassion, caring, and acceptance. If you are ready to say YES to self-acceptance, YES to healing, and YES to peace and calm, we are here for you! Anahata is a welcoming, cozy studio. (Yoga classes average 4-8 students). At Anahata Yoga and Wellness Center, we teach yoga that is accessible to ALL bodies, ALL ages. In addition to our regular Gentle and Intermediate yoga class schedule, we also teach Beginners Yoga, Prenatal, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Yoga Nidra. Read about us in Natural Awakenings. We are proud to be a member of a network of yoga studios affiliated with Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. We offer several ongoing Gentle and Intermediate Kripalu yoga classes. This yoga studio, like all Kripalu Affiliated Studios (KAS), is independently owned and operated. Yoga is a transformational body, mind, and spirit practice. Yoga can be experienced as an exercise practice, an emotional or therapeutic healing tool, or a deeply spiritual experience-often a weaving of each. Current research is overwhelmingly positive about the effects of yoga on those who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and abuse. Our choice, our intention as a teaching team, is to share the many possible layers of yoga. Our fully trained, compassionate, and certified teachers are able to give students the individual, personal attention they may need to feel safe and comfortable as they explore the bountiful benefits of establishing a yoga practice. This is what sets us apart from yoga taught in more gym-like settings. Our teachers are registered with Yoga Alliance and are certified at either the 200hr or 500hr level. Some of our teachers have taken advanced training in Yoga Therapy, as well as Yoga for Overcoming Trauma.
