Our community focuses on going deep into the Kundalini yogic methodology and lifestyle; and all classes, events, and workshops give you the tools to explore your depth and vastness, and the opportunity to exalt in the sacredness of your own soul. Our curriculum is directly from the art and science of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, adhering to the purity and piety of the "Golden Chain" present throughout these teachings. All Kundalini Yoga classes begin with tuning, using the Adi Mantra, "Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo", meaning, "I bow to the subtle divine wisdom, the divine teacher within". Guided by the teacher, students chant the Adi Mantra three times as they take a long, deep breath. Following the Adi Mantra, the class may begin with breathing (pranayam) and/or warmup exercises, which are followed by a Kundalini kriya (series of exercises) that range from subtle and simple movements to moderately physical and fairly strenuous exercises. Students work at their own comfort level and physical capacity through the Kundalini kriya, which leads into a deep relaxation set to the powerful healing sounds of the symphonic gong or music. Our classes culminate in a powerful meditation, a closing song, and a collective Sat Nam chant, which means, "Truth in my Infinite Identity". Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is, was, and always will be a yoga for people who live and work in the world.
