The New York Buddha Dharma is a Buddhist meditation center based in Manhattan founded by students of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. Its guiding principles are: To continue the teachings, practices, and Tibetan Kagyü lineage of the Vidyadhara, the Venerable Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche; To invite other teachers to teach, including visiting Rinpoches as well as seasoned student/practitioners; and to provide a community of friends with whom to share and tread the path. The first meeting took place on April 11, 2016 at Nalandabodhi, #400, 64 Fulton Street in New York City. At the first meeting some of the common themes were: the wish to study, meditate, and socialize together; The intention to spread the dharma, but also to be of service in more mundane ways to the larger society; and more.
