Emily Glaser RN, BSN, C.Ay, LMT Emily Glaser was born in Santa Fe and went to school at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque for her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing with a specialization in Neuroscience and Hospice . Interested in world medicine she worked internationally in China and Nepal with Global Volunteer Network, Cambodia with Angkor Hospital for Children and Tanzania with St. Lucia Nursing Home. After Emily quenched her thirst for world travel she returned home to NM, graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts and started her journey into the deep and profound science of Ayurveda. In 2009, Emily had the great honor to study under Dr. Vasant Lad at The Ayurvedic Institute. Shortly after, she spent 6 months at Vaidyagrama–Ayurveda Healing Village in southern where she furthered her study of Ayurveda and Panchakarma therapy with chief physician, Dr. Ramadas. Emily is a graduate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and a member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners AADP. Emily teaches busy, successful, women who want to stop feeling crummy, how to achieve equilibrium so they can enjoy sustainable health and vibrant energy. Led by her deep compassion and desire to help others, she studied many different healing modalities. She was the owner of a successful Aveda concept salon/spa for 11 years. A desire to learn deeper healing modalities and lead a more balanced lifestyle drew her to the study of Ayurveda. From 2005-2007, she completed 2 years of intensive study at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque with Dr. Vasant Lad. After completing her studies in Albuquerque, she traveled to for advanced studies in Ayurveda, including Panchakarma therapies at the Arsha Yoga Vidya Peetam Trust hospital in Coimbatore. During this time, she worked at the Ayurvedic Institute as the Assistant to the Director of Education and as an instructor in the student clinic and for the panchakarma therapies. She also worked as a therapist in the Panchakarma Clinic at the Institute. As the result of her wide ranging studies in healing modalities (including Reiki, homeopathy, and traditional indigenous practices), Lisa brings a unique and integrative understanding of healing to her practice. Lisa has worked intensively on understanding the role of culture and healing. This enables her to work with people from many cultural backgrounds in a respectful and compassionate way.
