Class Description Ashtanga Primary Series uses a precise sequential order of postures linked by breath. Every classes followes the same sequence, allowing the practitioner to explore all limbs of yoga. Movement, sun salutations & breath are key components. This is an advanced class with requires both strength and flexibility. There are over 90 poses, in addition to 10 sun salutations and over 30 vinyasas. The Primary Series focuses on fowarding bending. Ashtanga Secondary Series uses a precise sequential order of postures linked by breath. Every classes followes the same sequence, allowing the practitioner to explore all limbs of yoga. Movement, sun salutations & breath are key components. This is an advanced class with requires both strength and flexibility. There are over 95 poses, in addition to 10 sun salutations and over 20 vinyasas. The Secondary Series focuses on inversions, twists, and backbends. Breathe, Flow, & Let Go is a light flow yoga class that incorporates holding asanas longer to allow the students time to focus on proper alignment in order to reap the full benefit from each pose. Basic versions of each asana are offered along with modifications for those seeking either a more gentle or more challenging practice. Chair Yoga Mix This class is designed specifically for those with physical limitations. Modifications are always offered so that the needs of each student are met. Students move through postures while seated in a chair and also while standing while using the chair for support and balance as needed. The class also places an emphasis on fostering greater mind body awareness. This is a 60 minute class. Dynamic Flow Fast paced Vinyasa style class with more unusual choreographed sequences. Suitable for intermediate to advanced students. Fit Mom This class is designed to help moms with babies under 12 months to get back into life. We focus on gentle movements to stretch and tone the postnatal body. Babies are incorporated in the moves when appropriate and encouraged to interact with mom. While we can incorporate baby into the yoga, the little ones are also welcome to eat, sleep, play, etc. Moms with a baby and an older child are also welcome. Gentle Yoga includes mindful, slow paced floor poses, seated postures, spinal twisting, standing postures, gentle back bends, and deep breathing. This class features a slow paced intergration in the beginning of class and a long savasana at the end of class. Props will be used when needed. This is an ideal class for those new to yoga, as well as the experienced student who enjoys this gentle approach to their practice. No experience is required.
