OUR MISSION Knowingly or unknowingly, every human being is searching for infinite happiness. Ananda Marga is a sanskrit for “the path or the way to infinite happiness”. Ananda Marga was founded in India in 1955 by the Spiritual Preceptor Shrii Shrii Anandamurti. His mission and that of Ananda Marga is to create a world where every person (without any exception) will get a chance to realize his or her full potential and reach spiritual perfection. To bring this vision into reality the Ananda Marga in the South Pacific is working in the following areas: Personal Development: Teaching yoga, meditation and other self-development techniques on a non for profit basis without discriminating on the basis of race, religion, gender or any other form of discrimination). We are a recognized charity in Australia and New Zealand Social Service: offering to all( without discrimmination), emergency relief as well as ongoing programs providing people with the basic necessities of life: food, shelter, clothing, education and medical care. Education: setting up schools featuring Neo Humanist Education PRABHAT RANJAN SARKAR (SHRII SHRII ANANDAMURTI) Modern writer, philosopher, scientist, social theorist, and spiritual leader, Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar has attracted a following in more than 130 countries. His books have been translated into all the world’s major languages, and his unique blend of historical perspective and social commentary has been the inspiration for social activists seeking progressive alternatives to capitalism and communism. The aim of Yoga is to fully experience or ‘realise’ one’s essential nature. The yogic perspective is that the body, mind and spirit are inseparably connected. However our contemporary lifestyle places enormous demands on us, often leading to alienation, loss of clarity and motivation, creating disharmony both in individual life and in our society. Dedicated Teachers ( Acharyas) One of the most important factors for success on any spiritual path is access to a good teacher. The teachers of Ananda Marga (Acharyas) are yoga monks and nuns who have dedicated themselves to teaching Ananda Marga practices as a social service.
