FITZROY STUDIO The vibe: Industrial, creative and bursting with character. We’re inspired by: The studio space itself. The stunning studio features original exposed bricks, a vaulted ceiling and exposed timber beams. She’s a mix between a tree house and a doll house. In short, it’s pretty special. What to expect: Our amazing Fitzroy studio takes cues from the buzzing streets that surround our space. It’s situated right in the heart of the action, and that creative energy makes its way straight into our classes. When you join a class at Barre Body Fitzroy, you can expect to be warmly welcomed (seriously, there’s a fireplace right in the studio) and prepare to get moving with soul. Where to head after class: Slow Poke is our top pick for the best coffee and avocado smash around (we’ve certainly tried our fair share). We also love Alimentari for their delicious gourmet deli and salad options. If Fitzroy were a woman, she’d be: Zoe Kravitz. Full of character, uniquely beautiful, and dancing to the beat of her own drum. The location: Barre Body Fitzroy is located on the top floor of 175 Brunswick Street, with the entrance located on the north side of King William Street. Parking is quite reasonable in the mornings and weekends for early classes, but is no fun at all after lunch and in the evening. We recommend taking the tram, which stops right out the front. A WORD FROM OUR FOUNDER, EMMA SEIBOLD Hi, I’m Emma Seibold, founder and creator of Barre Body. I launched our first Barre Body Studio in Melbourne’s Flinders Lane in 2012, and since then, Barre Body has grown to be one of Australia’s favourite workouts, some calling it the ultimate destination to tone and shape your body.
