Who we are Yoga Jivana means ‘yoga life’ (jivana is sanskrit for life). At Yoga Jivana we have experienced the profoundly transformative effects of Iyengar Yoga and we’re always inspired to see students experience it too! This practice can bring positive change, enhancing our everyday life. Peter and Sue Scott are bringing their extensive experience in the discipline of Iyengar Yoga, teaching practice and related fields of health and the body to their Yoga Jivana / Yoga Life institute. As well as their regular study trips to Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI), the Iyengar Institute in Pune,, Peter and Sue have taught all over the world. They have established and run successful yoga schools in Melbourne and Noosa, QLD, and are popular guest teachers in yoga schools all over Australia. The teaching practice of Peter and Sue is empathetic, positive, and focused on the needs of each individual. Peter and Sue also run an Iyengar Yoga teacher training program – STTY, which has many talented graduates. Becoming a qualified Iyengar Yoga teacher is a rigorous process involving many years of practice and study. Yoga Jivana’s teachers are members of the BKS Iyengar Yoga Association of Australia (BKSIYAA), and are committed & dedicated practitioners and qualified teachers. Where we are Yoga Jivana is situated in the middle of a thriving and eclectic part of Melbourne – the space is modern, fresh, and purpose built with two yoga studio’s, toilets & change room facilities.
