Acro Yoga is an Acrobatic Yoga modality that integrates elements of Yoga practice such as: discipline (Yama), self-control (niyama), posture (asanas), breath control (pranayama), among other elements such as acrobatics (Jumps, turns and inversions) and the Thai Massage (stretching and relaxation maneuvers).
Its main feature consists of the fluid movements from one posture to another, in a constant rhythm like a dance. For being fun, Acro Yoga practice has conquered the world with practitioners of all ages and cultures.
It is an activity to be performed in a group, with at least two people.Acro Yoga Brasil works with an efficient, simple and directed methodology, so that the student and the future teacher can direct the training respecting the criterion of difficulty, complexity and overload.
- Strength : The class provides strengthening of the major muscle groups, especially the legs, buttocks, abdomen and arms.
- Flexibility : As Acro Asanas (acrobatic postures) are usually made in suspension, the practitioner develops flexibility, feeling the body lighter and favoring aerial mobility.
- Body Consciousness : once the body becomes strong and flexible, it is possible to spend little energy in increasingly complex movements and thus work the postures of balance.
- Physical pleasure and creativity : when acquiring bodily awareness, attention is not limited to the development of physical capacities, so it is possible to meditate and feel that each posture brings the sensation of freedom and pleasure.
- Detachment, surrender and responsibility : in Acro Yoga practice, no one is in control and both have responsibility and surrender for each other
