Accomodation

The extra-large tropical bungalows (27.50 m2) built in the middle of the gardens can easily accommodate 1 or 2 people in single, double or twin beds. They are simple but comfortable wooden bungalows with thatched roofs. Inside they have good mattresses, and a big ceiling fan to keep you cool on hot days. To avoid mosquitoes and plumbing problems we have decided to build the bathrooms and toilets outside in a separate house but, no worries, at the most the bathroom building is only 20 meters from your room and there is small lights all night long on the paths. Since May 2016, we also 2 bungalows with AC. Email for prices. The Dining Room The dining room is a large 100 M2 building with an open kitchen not far from the bungalows (see map). Breakfast and dinners are part of your package and will be taken together around a large table. A few more outside tables are set where you can enjoy some tea or coffee and Internet with a free Wi-Fi system, trees and flowering bushes are everywhere in the surroundings. The food is vegetarian (including milk and eggs), Asian style and deliciously cooked by our Khmer staff. Vegetables and fruits are fresh and seasonal, some of it straight from our organic garden. Lunch can be served on order, let us know before 8:30 AM so we can buy fresh food at the market. It is not included in your package. We are working hard to produce more organic vegetables and fruits in the gardens and we will be happy if you are interested to participate with planting or harvesting and learn about tropical gardening, you are more than welcome. The dining room is also open for non-resident tourists , locals & expatriates living in Siem Reap and keen to share our peaceful gardens (contact us for availability).Le Studio Since January 2014, Angkor Zen Gardens Retreat Center is happy to offer a new “Deluxe” accommodation for our guests. You are welcome to walk around anywhere you wish, visit the chicken coop, seat by the ponds to watch the lotus flowers opening early morning or discover our tropical flowers and giant trees. How to reach Angkor Zen Gardens Retreat Center

You will arrive in Siem Reap either by air, by boat or by road. Siem Reap has a new international airport connected to all major cities in Asia with more and more low cost airlines like Air Asia. There is boat connecting Phnom Penh to Siem Reap, it sometimes doesn’t operate in the dry season (January – May) because the waters are too low on the Tonle Sap lake. The port is 10 km from the town. The trip is slow and not very comfortable on a noisy boat. Driving either from Thailand (Poipet border) or from Phnom Penh or Viet-Nam, on the national road 6, is relatively easy. The border experience is usually quick, requiring 2 passport photos $30 visa fees. It takes between 5 and 6 hours to reach Siem Reap from the capital. Please write and ask us for more details about the best companies to travel with. When you arrive in Siem Reap we recommend you go to the Old Market. If you arrive by plane, we will send a tuk-tuk to the airport. If you arrive by bus or by boat, the arrival times could vary greatly so, please, take a taxi or tuk-tuk (moto taxi) to the Old Market (downtown Siem Reap). We can pick you up there when you arrive if you let us know your details. We can discuss by mail the exact place to pick you up. If you decide to come to Angkor Zen Gardens Retreat Center by yourself, please check the Google map on the website or itinerary. We are 3 km West of the Old Market, on the road to Wat Chowk pagoda just after the pagoda, turn left and follow the sign Angkor Zen Gardens at 400 m. (It is not guaranteed that tuk-tuk drivers will know where to go, unless they are used to working with us).
