The property is perched on Crystal Mountain as a balcony to The Pacific Ocean and Nicoya Peninsula. The hotel check-in is at 3:00 p.m. and check-out is at 11:00 a.m. The reception is open from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for guest services, and staff is available 24 hours a day for emergencies. There are 18 luxury rooms designed to feel like “Heaven on Earth” by the esteemed Andrea Artinano of Costa Rica. Deluxe rooms can accommodate two guests, premium rooms can accommodate up to five guests, and luxury lofts can accommodate two guests.
Most of the rooms or facilities do not have air conditioning. Each room is equipped with an overhead fan that cools the room perfectly day and night. All rooms have air-conditioning. The Retreat Costa Rica offers a laundry service to guests. The charge is according to each item, wash, dry, and fold. Gratuities are additional and recommended. The resort is very secure, yet as a standard precaution, they recommend that you store your valuables (cash, credit cards, passports, plane tickets, etc) in the safe available in your room.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. An organic garden right off the terrace kitchen is available for all guests to learn and play in the professionally designed permaculture landscape. Celebrity Feng Shui Artist Marie Knoos balanced the property and energies to allow transformation, healing, and love to permeate all guests throughout the retreat. You will be served daily meals included in the price. All cuisine provided is organic and farm-to-fork fresh with no gluten, dairy, or refined sugars. The Retreat’s chefs are fully versed in many types of foods and special dietary needs and can accommodate any special request. They ask that you let them know in advance if you have any special needs, diets, or desires. They have fresh infused spring water in your room and at the bar, as well as water stations throughout the property to refill personal bottles.
Cocktails, beer, and organic wines are also available. The restaurant is a casual buffet and the staff takes great pride in serving delicious meals. The menu includes a variety of vegetarian fare as well as chicken and fish. They also adhere to a grain-free and dairy-free menu and can also accommodate vegan, gluten-free, and high-protein diets.
