SwaSwara is an expression of the power of wellness in a space rich with healing energy. All the elements of nature embrace you here, resting and rejuvenating body and spirit. Neither a spa nor an ashram, SwaSwara is a sanctuary for your ‘Prakruti’ or the innermost nature of an individual, that special blend of qualities that makes you unique. It is an introduction to a life plan that will reconstruct the mind and body, creating balance and harmony within. SwaSwara is managed by people who transform their own lives, while creating memorable holiday experiences for you. Journeying into the self is a maxim that we advocate. While you practise it when on holiday, we get to do it on the job. Ayurveda The Self can be directly experienced. It is the centre of all thought, action and relationships, originating deep within the personality. The basic premise of Ayurveda is that everything that exists in the external universe also appears in the human body. It is a revered branch of medicine, healing through a tradition handed down from sages 5000 years ago, that works on the balance of your bio energies. Ayurveda treats with a combination of treatments both external and internal, a cleansing diet and conditioning therapies to provide relief from problems like blood pressure, obesity, arthritis, spondilysis and many more. Ayurveda believes this universe is made up of five great elements. Earth the solid state of matter, Water the liquid state, Fire that transforms solids into liquid and gas, Air the gaseous form and Ether the space in which everything happens. Ayurveda defines a human as the assemblage of the five great elements and the immaterial self. These five elements combine in pairs to form three dynamic forces called doshas or ‘that which changes’. These doshas are Vata, Pitta and Kapha. With its great location and amazing setting Swaswara is worth a visit for those who really want to get away and enjoy a piece of unspoilt coastline.
