Vipassana

Vipassana, which means to see things as they really are, is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation. It was taught in India more than 2500 years ago as a universal remedy for universal ills, i.e., an Art of Living.

The technique of Vipassana Meditation is taught at ten-day residential courses during which participants learn the basics of the method, and practice sufficiently to experience its beneficial results. There are no charges for the courses - not even to cover the cost of food and accommodation. All expenses are met by donations from people who, having completed a course and experienced the benefits of Vipassana, wish to give others the opportunity to also benefit.

How to Apply to Attend or Serve a Course

  1. Access the application form by clicking Apply for the desired course (https://www.dhamma.org/en/schedules/schsota). Old students will be given the option to serve.
  2. Please carefully read the Introduction to the Technique and Code of Discipline which you will be asked to follow during your course.
  3. Fully and completely fill out all the sections of application form and submit it. An application is required to register for all courses.
  4. Await notification. All correspondence will be through e-mail if you give an e-mail address in your application. Due to the large volume of applications, it may take up to two weeks before receiving notification.
  5. If your application is accepted then we require you to confirm you will be attending in order to secure your place in the course.

All courses are run solely on a donation basis. All expenses are met by donations from those who, having completed a course and experienced the benefits of Vipassana, wish to give others the same opportunity. Neither the Teacher nor the assistant teachers receive remuneration; they and those who serve the courses volunteer their time. Thus Vipassana is offered free from commercialisation.

Old students are those who have completed a 10-day Vipassana Meditation course with S.N. Goenka or his Assistant Teachers. Old students have the opportunity to provide Dhamma Service at the courses listed.

Bilingual courses are courses which are taught in two languages. All students will hear daily meditation instructions in both languages. The evening discourses will be heard separately.

Meditation courses are held at both center and non-center locations. Meditation centers are dedicated facilities where courses are held regularly throughout the year. Before meditation centers were established in this tradition, all courses were held at temporary sites, such as campgrounds, religious retreat centers, churches and the like. Today, in regions where centers have not yet been established by local students of Vipassana who live in the area, 10 Day meditation courses are held at non-center course sites.

10-day Courses are an introductory course to Vipassana Meditation where the technique is taught step-by-step each day. The courses begin after a 2 - 4 pm registration period and orientation, followed by 10 full days of meditation, and end the morning of the 11th day by 7:30 am.

Shivyog Dham Gurgaon represents the Supreme Consciousness and Yog represents union. Shivyog Dham Gurgaon thus is the state of being merged with the infinite consciousness. To know more about healing the mind, body & soul and about life transformation solutions visit this website’s pages. The founder of ShivYog is  Dr. Avdhoot Shivanand is the Master of Ancient Indian Healing, who is currently sharing the sacred secrets of healing for overall life transformation. The founder of ShivYog is Dr. Avdhoot  Shivanand is the Master of Ancient Indian Healing.

What is Shiv Yog?

The name ShivYog has an in-depth meaning. Shiv does not refer just to Lord Shiva but the name Shiv is beyond the barriers of name and form. Shiv simply means infinite, which is also known with different names like God, Supreme, Universal Consciousness, etc. Yog means uniting or merging. So ShivYog means merging with the infinite or becoming one with God.

Babaji over a period of time with His deep life-long meditational practices has brought out into the world the practices that were dying with time. These were highly secretive practices that were practiced by great Siddhas or divine beings in earlier eras. Babaji desired to present these practices for the use of the common man with the intention that human beings make utmost use of these practices to make their lives fulfilling, complete, and thus making it possible to attain self-realization and attain liberation from the cycle of birth and death. Thus Shivyog Dham Gurgaon manifested that soon became the practice of lakhs of people who attended the Chivers conducted by Babaji all over the globe in the past decade. Lakhs of people benefitted as they applied the teachings and practical meditation practices into their lives and transformed their lives with good health, prosperity, peace and contentment.

MORE ABOUT SHIVYOG

Etymologically, understood, Shiv means infinite and Yog means union. So ShivYog implies union with the infinite. But what is infinite and what is a union? This is exactly the reason or reason for the existence of its leading light, Father of Healing Avdhoot Baba Shivanand ji. The powerhouse of wisdom that he is, Baba ji says it is wrong to suggest that God can be realized only through mortification and total renunciation. Of course, that way exists, but there is also the other way which the sagacious saints and pragmatic Siddhas understood and which is most suited to the contemporary times. This way involves striking a fine balance between worldly duties and inner obligations to your own self. None is performed at the expense of the other. What is more, this manner of evolution was also that taken by Lord Shiva himself and ensures most gains with least effort.

A worldly man has the best compass to routinely assess his spiritual growth his family. Because sitting alone in caves, anyone can claim to have mastered the vices of ego, anger, greed, jealousy, one-upmanship, etc. Sitting alone he can also say that the lures of the world no longer attract him. It is only when confronted with different scenarios involving complex emotions of different individuals that he can measure our spiritual progress.

Shivyog Dham Gurgaon teaches us that Self Awakening is anything but living in seclusion and undergoing so much pain to perform. Shivyog Dham Gurgaon is about understanding that the infinite energy of solace that we seek outside is actually within us. The unacknowledged seed of potential that is very much there within us has to be nurtured for it to become a tree laden with fruits of all round development and dynamic success in all walks of life.

Ananda Sangha Yoga Center

Ananda Sangha – “fellowship of divine joy”—is a worldwide group of individuals who share the search for higher consciousness and the ideal of service to others by following the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda. These teachings emphasize “Self-realisation” as direct inner experience of God. Non-sectarian, they are based on’s timeless universal truths and offer practical solutions to the challenges of modern life.

Ananda was founded in the USA in 1968 to support people in search of spiritual growth. In countries on six continents, Ananda Sangha provides classes, events, satsangs, study materials, and other resources around the world, through a network of individual devotees, communities, teaching centres, and meditation groups.

The Ananda Joy Logo (seen above in the Ananda Sangha web logo), represents the soul’s aspiration upward toward God and outward to embrace all beings in its quest for enlightenment. The downward curve shows the corresponding descent of divine grace.

Ananda Sangha

Everyn is familiar with the basic truths of Paramhansa Yogananda’s teaching. Still, his message of Self-realisation and Kriya Yoga is a new expression of these truths. It is a spiritual revolution for just as in the West.

“There are so many receptive souls in”, Swami Kriyananda said, “that in time the work here will dwarf everything else Ananda is doing.”With a small international group of Ananda devotees, he moved to in 2003, his 78th year, that he might dedicate his remaining life to make his guru’s teachings better known in the land of his birth.

Soon after, Swami Kriyananda began a nightly TV show, A Way to Awakening (AASTHA), reaching millions in as well as many nearby southeastern Asian countries and the USA. Ananda Sangha Publications was set up to print and distribute many of Yogananda’s and Kriyananda’s writings and musical recordings.

Swami Kriyananda’s 1st publication in was a correspondence course, Success and Happiness Through Yoga Principles, on applying dharmic principles to’s rising economic opportunities. It is now also available for group study and corporate seminars, and in both print and audio format. In turn came several more books, including what is often considered his crowning achievement, The Essence of the Bhagavad Gita.

Having long encouraged Ananda communities to develop economic means of support in areas compatible with spiritual focus, Kriyananda inspired several such enterprises in. The first was a boutique, Kalyana Kalpataru—The Wishing Tree—in Gurgaon’s Metropolitan Mall, carrying spiritual books, music, gifts, and yoga and meditation aids.
