Amruthamgamaya Yoga and Ayurvedic Village Retreat

Best month of my life! Lovely people, the best food, peaceful surroundings and Subhash is the most inspiring and wonderful yoga teacher I could have ever dreamt would teach me for my yoga teacher training course.

I booked Amrutham as a last minute get away. Vandana was super responsive to my emails and requests during the booking process. She arranged for a pick up from the airport which was very convenient. Stayed here for 5 nights as an all inclusive package. This included an air conditioned room, all meals and Ayurvedic massage treatments each day. The room is very basic but comfortable, the meals absolutely delicious and the massage treatments awesome!! There is a yoga session offered each morning which was a nice way to start the day. They offer a meditation session in the evening which is relaxing and spiritual. I enjoyed interacting with the other guests during meal times. The resort is located in the midst of a village so one does hear the usual sounds of day to day activity. The air conditioned room helped block out most of those sounds. Mahesh took excellent care of each guest and was attentive to specific requests. The ladies who cooked the meals did an amazing job and I relished each item as well as the variety. The rooms were very clean, but the linen could be better. Especially the towels which were quite threadbare.

Such fond memories from this place. I came to stay in February, desperate for some rest and heat and generally some time out from a chilly hectic winter in the uk . I was warmly welcomed with petals scattered and sweet incense filling the air. The room was squeaky clean and a huge big bed with plenty of room and though the authentic dark wood it didn’t seem dark like some places . The staff were more than happy to help with any questions. It became like family. I feel so so lucky to have found Amrutham. So much so that within a few days of my Ayurveda and yoga package I already decided to return at the end of the month to complete my stay in kerala. The food was just delicious , masses of it!! Always fresh and accommodating to all dietary needs and within the realms of what your dosha requires. The girls that made everything so spotlessly clean , sweeping and making me feel well looked after . My delightful warm hearted therapist Sunita was faultless. I felt incredibly well cared for. I miss that . Vandana; ever helpful and warm hearted . The yoga was thorough . Kind. Complete with both asana , pranayama and meditation . I will return again and would recommend this place for anyone that wants to step away . Thank you team Amrutham. I’m ever grateful x

Amrutham is a very special and peaceful place to stay. We booked an all-in treatment for one week and had an amazing time. The yoga was a challenge but very rewarding in the early mornings, the massages/treatments were heavenly, the vegan food was fresh and tasty and the house and its surroundings very relaxing. But most special was the staff who made our stay feel like being at home instead of in a hotel. We made beautiful memories, thank you Amrutham.

This place is lovely and nestled away from the city crowds and noises. You can easily spend a few weeks in peace here :) The staff at Amrutham Gamaya are absolutely delightful! Everyone is super friendly, cheery and professional. The massages especially are fantastic and the highlight of the experience. Food, rooms etc. are also great and frankly we do not have any complaints about the place. It is located not too far from Kovalam beach and little shops, restaurants etc. if you want to try something different. The staff at AG will take full care of you during the stay and you'll almost feel like you are at home. They also have yoga in the mornings, although we went only for the ayurveda. I definitely recommend staying here if you are spending time in Trivandrum and want a cozy retreat!
