We walked a long way out of the central area to see Buddhist Maha Vihara but there was not a lot to see here and so sadly would not recommend making the trip. It is approx 20 minutes walk from central Little India Brickfields. There were a few Buddha statues to see and lots of interesting artifacts inside the main temple area. If you come here to worship or meditate I am sure it is a lovely site, but as a simple tourist there is not a lot here to entertain. Admission to the temple is free, but donations are welcome. Must remove shoes to enter. Allow 10-15 minutes to have a look around.

This Sri Lankan buddhist temple has recently been renovated and the place looks great with everything freshly painted and cleaned up. I was there when it was quiet and had the main prayer hall all to myself and found it very peaceful to meditate for 15 minutes. Inside the temple complex is also an international peace pagoda with many statues of varying sizes of the Buddha. Well worth the walk from Brickfields.
