The Dance City

THE DANCE CITY Academy had been established since the end of the last century. Our passion is to provide the community a high quality artistic life style. The mission of the academy is to make the community not deal with a monotonous machinery exercise, but to pursue a higher standard [Art of Movement] - a more intelligent, more artful rhythmic movement. Just like highly civilized people do not go for dessert merely to fill the hunger, drinking coffee is not merely to quench the thirst. For us who have stepped into the 21st century ought to understand that – exercises should not be a ‘blind move’.

Every body movement is supposed to bring us into a higher artistic life culture. Once steps into THE DANCE CITY, it will starts to elevate the substance of the lifestyle, and change it; and let the art mesmerize your soul, your life, and this is what we call ‘artful movement’, this is the point that marks the difference from the old-fashioned ‘exercise’, and it also makes the difference when you take YOGA course from our YOGA CITY.

THE DANCE CITY Academy believes that: Dancing art and persona education can satisfy the needs of self-education; it is also a standard of good quality life. The artful movement that the school implements help us to develop and to discover the interest of art and self-improvement, to build up our self-confidence and to equip us with good value of life. Since the establishment of THE DANCE CITY Academy, we have been promoting dance learning. We have also choreographed kindergarten and primary schools in their dancing program, and also organized dancing seminars for school teachers, we even send out our student to perform for the school without charging.

Meanwhile, to encourage serious learning, those students that have great performance, the school will arrange some open performance in public for them subsequently, for instance: shopping centers and international airports. It helps the students to apply what they have learned, and also to give the society more art performance. As for children and young school-goers, THE DANCE CITY Academy also organizes School Break Art Camp and so on. THE DANCE CITY Academy also organizes some non-commercial activities. For example: when our school was newly established, we actually offer free classes for contemporary dance. This is because the dance was not well-known by the public; we did this in order to let those who do not know it may like it.

Our school even offer long-term free classes for those who are talented, dedicated and serious in learning, yet they have some objective possibility or unable to continue the course. This is because we do not wish to see people lost the chance to encounter with arts. In the future time, THE DANCE CITY Academy will continue to open up a door and introduce them to the art, and also to open up a window for the public towards a healthy and beautiful life; We do hope that in a short future, you will ‘inspiring THE DANCE CITY for life’ with THE DANCE CITY Academy, and to give your life a new dynamic and a new meaning.

THE DANCE CITY provides the most comprehensive dance and fitness teacher training program as well as dance and fitness lessons in Malaysia. At THE DANCE CITY our mission is to inspire, care for and educate our students. We strive to provide quality education in the dance and fitness fields.
