Surf Coast Morocco

The staff here were super lovely and made sure that all the guests got to see the full range of the town’s attractions. Reda, in particular, was incredibly hospitable and caring. Considering what was including (all food, transport,etc) it was very good value for money. However, there was one pretty serious negative that wasn’t reflective of the staff at all but of Taghazout, and that was the intense stomach bug that infects everyone that visits. It seriously affected me during the trip and after when I returned home. I understand there isn’t much the locals can do, but it is important to be wary of this if you are susceptible to illness! I would avoid the water if you are.

My stay in Taghazout was enhanced because of living at Surf Coast Morocco. The owners are very pleasant, helpful and easygoing. The location of this hostel was just perfect to me! I miss the constant sound of and view of the waves. You see more than one bay from their not only one, but two terraces. Yoga regularly every day and so is surfing, of course dependent on weather as in every place. My room was good and clean. Such good recommendations for this place.

I actually just wanted to do some yoga, because i thought surfing was way to hard for me. The surf instructor tried to prove me wrong. The first day I tried it for my first time. I was at fist afraid, but loved it after a while! The surf instructor ( Mohammed), is strigt, and patient! I could not ask for a better coach! The atmosphere is just amazing at the hostel! I woke up to the sound of waves each day, some yoga and a good breakfast! And the best about the hostel is their food.

I stayed at Surf Coast Morocoo for a week to do the 7days surf and yoga retreat. My stay was really nice, the staff took good care of me and the other guests. I didn't had to think about anything. The food was really good!! Every night we had a different, very tasteful and healthy tajine. They have a very lovely roofop terrace (2 floors) with view over the beach and ocean, It was really special to practice yoga with that view (beautiful sunsets as well!). The breakfast and dinner is also served on the terrace, a pleasure to eat there everyday. Everyday Reda brought us with his lovely old car to the beach to surf, they took care of all the stuff we needed to surf and hangout on the beach. Mohammed the surfteacher is a nice guy. Reda texted us everyday to tell us what time the yoga was and what time we where leaving to the beach (don't take time to serious in Morocco, most of the time we left 15-30 min. later than promised, but I didn't care about that). The only thing that was a little same, was that they couldn't find a yoga teacher on 3 of the 13 times we where supposed to have a yogaclass, but they made up for it with a really good yoga teacher (Julie) on the latest days. They also organized a daytrip to Paradise Valley, a visit to the Hammam and Reda brought us to a place with the best avocado juice. Don't expect a luxury stay, but It has everything you need and the vibe is really relaxed and the view priceless! Oh! and they have a sweet cat who likes to cuddle and just gave birth to four kittens (very cute!)

Each and every one of the 17days I stayed at SurfCoastMorocco was great! A big thank you to Julia, Reda and the team who made me feel at home with them and to Hussein, who is the most dedicated teacher I have ever met, always taking his time with you in order to make sure that you learn and improve your surfing skills! At SurfCoastMorocoo you are not only a guest but part of a great family!
