For those new to Bermondsey Fayre we are a boutique gallery with a difference. We believe in strengthening and celebrating community through arts, creativity and shared activities – yoga being our main activity when the shop isn’t open.
The shop part of Bermondsey Fayre supports local and independent artists and designers to sell their beautiful creations all made with love. This part began with Liz Dillon, the owner and her friends who are beautiful clothes designers. Liz was wearing their clothes and was often asked where she bought them and figured it would be great to bring them to a central space in London. As the shop evolved different artists emerged along the way either knocking at the door or Liz met them in a field at a festival displaying their wares!
The yoga space – the quirky yoga space was created as soon as Liz could get past the building issues in the early days. There are regular classes now held almost every day! Liz and several other teachers bring their magic and teach the classes. Classes are kept small and allow for intimacy and a wonderful sense of community.
The gallery/event space – The same space at the back of the shop has also been used for various art exhibitions and even charity pop up gigs of poetry, music and spoken word. There are also some more regular events that happen including fortnightly meditation with Birgitta Bernhard and style evenings with local stylist Hannah Jean click here to find out more events
