Yoga for Harmony is situated just off Arthur Road in Windsor.
The studio is approx 78 sq m, which allows a maximum of 18 students, although we aim to keep our regular weekly classes to about 12 students, so that we can offer a more personal and friendly class environment. This aspect has been much appreciated by our regular visitors.
benefits from a beautiful natural wood floor, with under floor heating – lovely on chilly winter days and for a comfortable relaxation period. We also have a mirrored wall to help with posture alignment, and we have plenty of natural light.
The studio is fully equipped with yoga and pilates mats, blocks, belts etc, so there is no need to bring equipment, but if you prefer to use your own, please bring it along.
We aim to encompass many different styles of yoga, tai-chi and pilates, but we specialise in traditional Hatha Yoga. Our tutors are all fully qualified within their particular school or discipline.
Our wide range of weekly yoga classes cater for all abilities and experience, and we welcome beginners as well as long term practitioners. We also offer regular yoga related events and workshops (see workshops and events). Most of the weekly classes are ‘drop-in’, but please check the timetable to make sure the class you are interested in does not require pre-booking.
Welcome to the Yoga for Harmony website
Yoga for Harmony is a small independant yoga studio set up by myself, Julie Potter, in 2006.My intention was to create a peaceful, holistic, homely and yet professional space in which to share my yoga passion and interest (see studio). Although the studio can take up to 18 students, we like to keep classes small and intimate and most have around 8 to 12 attendees.
In the beginning I was joined by a small selection of friends and colleagues and we were offering only 4 or 5 classes a week. Now I have over 20 tutors offering up to 25 weekly classes (see timetable ), a selection of monthly worshops and various workshops with guest tutors (see workshops and events).
Although my interest is with a modern interpretation of Hatha Yoga the studio offers many different styles of yoga including, traditional meditation, flow yoga, kundalini yoga, yin yoga, tai chi, pilates and many more.
Traditional and modern Hatha Yoga, Beginners Yoga, Align and Flow Yoga, Hatha Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Ashtanga (modified primary series), Kundalini Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga for Autism, Parent and Teen Yoga, Traditional Meditation and Philosophy, Mindfulness Meditation, Deep Relaxation. Additional disciplines include Tai Chi/Qi Gong, Feldenkrais Method, Egyptian Belly Dancing, and Gong Baths, Reiki one day training courses and Teacher Training courses.
You can see when these classes take place by viewing the timetable page or more details of the class style on the Class page.Opening times: To minimise costs the studio is only open when classes are running, and we do not have a full time telephone answering service. We are closed on Bank Holiday Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays, over Easter weekend and usually for 2 weeks during the Christmas period.
By Train: We are about 5/10minutes walk from the two Windsor train stations Windsor and Eton Riverside and Windsor Central, which give services from Central London and Reading.
